Neil Carter

Director / Head Coach

Neil's experience is extensive, having spent 14 years as Regional Coach in the Southern Region, with Tennis New Zealand, building a strong, unified relationship with clubs and associations. He later took up a coaching position at Sutton Tennis Academy in the UK, heading the Juniors and Women's programme, leading to a position as Tennis Director, overseeing Development,  Wheelchair Tennis, Adults and High Performance. After returning to New Zealand Neil worked with Sparta Tennis, whilst also being appointed the 2018 NZ Fed Cup Captain and the 2024 Olympics Tennis Coach. Coaching players to 12 national titles, a WTA Doubles Title and a US Open Grand Slam, Neil's 40+ years of tennis playing and coaching experience, in New Zealand and overseas brings a brand new professional tennis coaching experience to his clients across our venues.

Nathan Carter

Director / Head Coach

Introduced to Tennis at a very young age by his father, Nathan played junior tennis at a national and international level. Unfortunately an injury at 18 forced him into retirement early into his professional career. 

Nathan has been a full time coach ever since, spending the first 6 years coaching in London at the Sutton Tennis Academy, working with some of the best junior players in the UK, both male and female. Players ranged from those playing U14 to WTA/ATP Tours. Returning to Auckland in 2014, Nathan worked at Tennis Auckland briefly, and is now working as a private coach to some of the best juniors, and top NZ female player, Valentina Ivanov.  Nathan was also appointed NZ Youth Olympics Coach in 2018.

With over 15 years experience playing and coaching, at clubs around Auckland, including at The Auckland Academy, Royal Oaks and West End. 

Liam has learned from some of the very best high performance coaches in the country, and understands how to get the very best of players at a variety of levels.

He has been a coach for the over 4 years and a long time member of West End Lawn Tennis Club, understanding the importance of keeping to the high standards and quality of the the prestigious club.
